One Year

How I convinced this guy to marry me one year ago -  I'll never know.

Yup, this hot guy is alllllll mine.  I've got the paperwork to prove it. :)

I was always told the first year of marriage is the hardest.  I've been married once before.  I speak from experience when I say YES - the first year of marriage IS the hardest.  I've done it TWICE.  And I barely survived the first time.  Haha.

For Clayton and I, it's been a year full of learning, loving, forgiveness and growing.  It's been a year that has tested our faith.  It's been a year full of hospital visits - and for Clayton, a wife who doesn't feel good about sixty percent of the time.  It's been a year of being broke and at times, being unemployed.  It's been a year of not being able to be sealed when we thought we would or wanted to be.  It's been a year of not knowing where we were going or what we were doing.  It's been a year full of ups and downs, lefts and rights, twists and turns.

But we did it!  And more importantly, we did it together.

Thinking about where and how we started our life together to where we are now puts a huge smile on my face. We've accomplished so much together.  With Clay by my side, there is nowhere to go but up.  I am so blessed to call this man my husband, my rock and my best friend.

Engaged.

Married.

Hopefully for year two, we see a lot LESS of this...

....and this.....

....and this.....

....and MORE good times like this....

...and this....

...and this.

I love you Clayton.
Thank you for everything - but mostly, thank you for teaching me about unconditionaltrue love.
Here's to eternity with you, handsome boy.
