Work Work Work

It's my favorite day of the week again!! Saturday!! Today, I'm worse than last week with only about an hour to an hour and a half worth of sleep, but hey.  Sleep is for rookies!

I have something exciting to announce.

(No, I am not pregnant.)

Clayton and I have set some financial goals for this year.  We have a goal to reach every month.  And yesterday, we met January's goal.  (Thank you Jake and Ashley for talking about Dave Ramsey and sparking my interest in him.  Where has this Ramsey guy been all my life?)  So while I'm not happy to be at work today on no sleep - and was very tempted not to come in at all after the events that took place last night/this morning, I am here.  And honestly - I am grateful to be here.  Clayton and I will be completely out of debt - minus our car payment and student loans - with hopefully a substantial amount in the bank by the end of the year if we keep doing what we are doing.  (Working our butts off.)  I'm excited!

I also hope that he and I will be sealed or pretty gosh darn close to it by the end of the year. And in he and I getting sealed, he will be sealed to Ellie. Both of our testimonies have taken a hit over the last year or two, and it's been rough.  But we are doing what we can to get back on track - as hard as it is.

And now.... I will leave you with some adorable pictures of the little turd who has been motivating me to want to change my life for the better. (All pics from the cell phone, so sorry about the quality.)

Grandpa G was pretty excited to give this bib to E.
That smile.  Those teeth.  That stupid bow.  (She thought the bow was stupid too apparently - since she ripped it off the headband a few minutes after I took this picture.)
Grandma face.
Helping mom fold laundry.
Eating a toothpaste box while mom does her hair.
If I want to be clean while Ellie is awake, this is how I have to do it.  Take a bath with this little monster standing at the edge of the tub talking to me the whole time.
(I know my Christmas tree is up in some of those pictures, but I promise - we finally put it away after Ellie pulled it over.)

Annnddddd being a mom is great.

Oh - and in case you missed this on Facebook on January 12 :

"Story time. Growing up, I always wanted an American Girl doll. I ooogled over them in the magazines, but they were soooo expensive! So I read every American Girl book I could get my hands on, cherished the magazines, and dreamed. I recently confessed this to my family after a lengthy discussion of my baby sisters and their giant American Girl doll collections. Tonight after family home evening, my stepmom, Kristen, made an announcement: she is, in her words, "finally buying" me my American Girl doll. I immediately started to bawl. She let me pick out which one I want, and I can't wait until she is ordered and arrives. That little doll will always be a reminder of how lucky I am. I'm one of the few out there who can say that I love my stepmom and that I KNOW she loves me too. It's been a rough few weeks for me, and she has lifted my spirit. I have an amazing family (each one of them!) and I am so grateful"

How lucky am I?
